I can't stress how wrong this is and how people are eating this shit up!!!! As I stated before I grew up with Cowboys and there are some damn fine cowboys rolling in their graves as we speak!!! THIS IS SICK AND WRONG!!!
Now if you make a movie about a drunken cowboy screwing a cow on occasion or even beating his wife and throwing his kid on a horse that no one was ment to ride...then yeah I would say Heck yeah that is a good fine way to show what a cowboy is like!!!
WATCH LONESOME DOVE...those are cowboys and there was NO love story in that between two men!!!!! There was a friendship story but damn it they LOVED WHORES!!! WOMAN WHORES!!!!!!

Oh aren't you being a little hard on that movie? I'm not gay and frankly have no desire to see a movie about a couple of queer cowboys but I am quite sure there always have been and currently are some of these dudes ridin' the range by daylight and riding each other by the moonlight! YEE HAW! Ride 'em cowboy! Don't you think there are probably some gay bars in Cheyenne or some of the other big towns way out there in Cowboy Land. Lots of them are probably in the closet too!
Overheard somewhere out there on the range:
Cowboy #1: "Get a long little doggie!"
Cowboy #2: "No thanks pardner, I had one last night!"

I suspect this movie will be a "chick flick" and won't get too far outside of the big cities myself. Not too many of us manly, straight he-men are going to admit we want to see a flick about butt fucking hombres even though it might be a good movie.
Ebert and Roeper say thumbs up! Make up your own mind!

That is just the type of thinking that allows them to even make movies like this! This is wrong it is an inaccurate portrayl of who things really are!
I am not saying their aren't gay cowboys, but I personally have not ever met one and I have been around my fair share!!! Trust me...in that way of life, if you are gay and found out it is a "chappin" for you!!!

While I agree with that...the fact that they are making such a big deal of such bull shit just bugs me!
OK me as a "cowgirl" at least that is what a lot of people (around here not back home) look at me as...I have a problem with Cowboys be portrayed as gay! I have never known a gay cowboy...and I KNOW a lot of cowboys! I am not saying it didn't happen...all I am saying is that if a Marine movie came out with gay lovers in it people would love their "F"ing minds and say how awful that is...blah blah blah...but they make a movie about a dying breed of damn good hard working beer drinkin womanizing mothers and Oh look lets all tip toe through the tulips! It is really ticks me off to know that NO ONE will make a movie about Gay soldiers or Gay politicians, which we all know there are...BUT they will do this!? Doesn't make sense to me!
